This is one of hopefully many in a series of illustrations i call Persona non Grata. I was up until the early hours doing this on my computer, as well as a couple of other pics.... funny how much sleep i don't get....
wow. strong message and very eloquent execution. the one person we need to warn the most is often ourselves. we cause the most pain it seems. i really like the 'unobvious' choice of colors for this and the characterization of your little fellow there is just beautiful. i look forward to seeing the others that will follow in the series!
nice work, bravo!
and yea... i wonder about the sleep thing as well... got work in three hours, bleugh

i love it. had i seen this a few days ago i probably would have cried.
is that a barcode on his foot? how degrading and hopeless. i like how he faces away from the negative space. it give a sense of uneasiness to the pic since we're normally accostomed to seeing figures looking into the picture space.
thanks for the response, glad people appreciate it. amazing really seein' as it was only last night/early this morning that i did it.... i can hardly keep my eyes open now! heh, well i only just recently started on the next pic (i decided to call the character STiTCHES by the way....convenient), it'll be in pretty much the same style but i think anymore i do may differ slightly, depending on my mood and patience (speaking of mood, no-one worry about me.... i'm not as gloomy as my pic may appear ) and as far as any other unrelated artwork by myself, expect several diverse styles, and humour, cos i've been going on a mad experimental frenzy lately.... it's all good....
hmm maso, play with the lighting? yeh i did think that at some, it would probably work for the other pics i have planned, but with this one i just wanted as much minimalism as possible (wow, that's the most contradictory thing i've said....) and so lighting was a small part of the idea, i tried to put the most detail into the central figure (and by the way, thanks for noticing the direction in which Stitches was facing, i'm a big believer in negative space....well, after having it constantly drilled into my head at college!! And i'm lovin' your own artwork by the way, i've often wanted to attempt something similar to 'jesus in pixels'..... anyhoo, thanks for the input O fellow artiste.... peace, out.
Wow, that's really nice, the body language of the character and the use of space kinda reminds me of how I was feeling a few weeks back. I look forward to seeing the rest of this series.
